The SHIMMY SHOWCASE begins at 7 p.m. at the COFFEE HAVEN in Long Beach (1708 E. Broadway -- 562-437-3785).

UPCOMING SHOWCASE CALENDAR

October 5: Abraiha presents May, Mia, Saphira and Gaea who will dazzle you with gorgeous costumes and mesmerize with sinuous movements.

October 12: Your coordinator Saviya brings more live music with Fernan Cobian and dancing by Ritchie, Najma and the Om Sisters for another fabulous showcase with a Gothic theme.

October 19: Coordinator Alexiis presents Cynthia, Tehani, Reina and Brandi for a cool fall evening of hot dancing as these accomplished performers demonstrate the beauty and breadth of the bellydance spectrum with their amazing moves.

October 26: Coffee Haven gets spooky as Xandra presents dancers Zahir, Eve, and Yasan of Troupe Zagareet; Meryem Vani, and Saphira plus a special feature--original poetry by Christopher Villa. There may even be some vampires, so bring your crosses and garlic—but no wooden stakes please! So be sure to swoop in on Coffee Haven this evening and prepare to have a scarily good time!

November 2: Coordinator for this showcase will be Saviya and we have the lovely Yasmin returning once again to dazzle you with another sparkling performance. Any dancers who would like join this dynamic duo please contact us at Shimmyshowcase@yahoogroups.com for a performance spot!


November 9: Abraiha, coordinator for the evening, seeks dancers who would like to perform. If you’d like to join her, please contact us at Shimmyshowcase@yahoogroups.com.


November 16: Alexiis presents Raqs the Casbah with some of rock and roll’s all time favorites, interpreted by Reina, along with Annette, Bunny, Dana, Estra, Gabriel, Jewels, Lena, Mary and Tara. This long standing tradition at The Shimmy Showcase is always a surprise. Will it be Devo this year? ZZ Top? Stone Temple Pilots? Bauhaus? One never knows!


November 23: Saviya will be introducing a new male dancer, Mykael Devad, and Ritchie will also delight you with his high energy performance to more LIVE MUSIC by Fernan and Craig. We have openings for more dancers, so if you want to be part of this exciting evening of dance, send us an email at Shimmyshowcase@yahoogroups.com.
