Featuring talented songwriters from around the globe, the Songsalive! Showcases are the best industry secret, a great happening all around the world. Songsalive! Showcases are a very cozy, intimate and acoustic environment where media and music industry representatives often drop by to check out the latest talent. Showcase your music and support our Songsalive! national and international live events and showcases presenting songwriters and artists of original music. Showcases are conducted globally.

ABOUT THE SHOWCASE
Performances take place in the Guitar Department at Sam Ash Westminster, on our showcase stage. Each performer will present three original songs. Tea and snacks will be provided for the audience. There is no admission fee for the event, but donations are gratefully accepted – Songsalive! is an all-volunteer organization. We play for tips! Your humble host is Rod O’Riley, chapter coordinator for Songsalive’s Orange County chapter.

FEATURING:

Michael Gardner
Michael's background is in the singer-songwriter tradition. Songs range from folk to rock to hee-haw country, to swampy to zydeco and beyond. He is a founding member of Southern California's One Foot In, which performs and records many of Michael's songs.

Performances include Orange County's Coach House and Galaxy Concert Theater, the Sawdust Festival, Coffee Gallery Backstage, The Living Tradition, house concerts, all of the west's major coffee chains, bookstores, etc.

Tom Hacker
Tom Hacker has been writing and singing songs for the last 20 years but has re-ignited his inspiration after the passing of fatherhood and now has spawned a new batch of quality alternative rock material. Beginning in the late 90's Tom has been the front man for a couple local Orange County bands "Jeans Not Around" and "Mad Mix" hitting up the local club scene performing a mix of his original and cover material. Currently he has spun off performing as a stand up singer-songwriter.

Bill Dobbins
Bill Dobbins is a veteran singer/songwriter of the 1960s and 1970s. "Back in the day" he performed at such historical venues as The Gaslight, The Bitter End, Cafe Wha?, Folk City and Izzy Young's Folklore Center. Bill was privileged to perform with such legends as Emmylou Harris, Arlo Guthrie, John Hammond, Phil Ochs and Ramblin' Jack Elliott. After appearing for years in Europe and the US (mostly on the East Coast), Bill had the opportunity to pursue a career as a photographer, writer and video maker and while he continued to write music he put his performance activities on hold. But in the past few years he had begun peforming again, primarily in Southern California, and has created a website featuring dozens of his songs and musical compositions.
