The Von Bondies to kick off tour with appearance on "Letterman"

Riding a new wave of critical acclaim, THE VON BONDIES will perform “Pale Bride”--the first single and video off their new album LOVE HATE AND THEN THERE’S YOU (Majordomo/Shout! Factory)--this Monday, February 9 on the “Late Show with David Letterman” (CBS 11:30pm ET/PT). This appearance by the Michigan-based band--JASON STOLLSTEIMER (lead vocals, guitars), DON BLUM (drums), LEANN BANKS (bass) and CHRISTY HUNT (guitars)--precedes the February 12 launch of their 2009 tour.

STOLLSTEIMER’s newest batch of songs, as well as BLUM’s co-writes, were penned over the past few years and recorded sporadically during that period. Producers Butch Walker (Hot Hot Heat, The Donnas, All-American Rejects) and Rick Parker (Black Rebel Motorcycle Club) fine-tuned the recordings.

On the road, the VON BONDIES will perform songs from Love, Hate And Then There’s You, which is filled with highlights like “Pale Bride,” “Accidents Will Happen,” and “21st Birthday.” They’ll be touring the U.S. and Canada with special guests Nico Vega. High profile stops include New York City’s Mercury Lounge Monday, February 16 and The Roxy in Los Angeles Saturday, March 14. Check out the full itinerary for the VON BONDIES below:

About The Von Bondies:
The roots of The Von Bondies can be traced back to the late ’90s--at one point Jason had a band called the Baby Killers--but things really began in earnest when Blum teamed up with Stollsteimer in 1999. The name Von Bondies was born in 2000, and the first album Lack of Communication came the following year. Raw and Rare, a collection of live BBC recordings, followed in 2003, then Pawn Shoppe Heart. It featured their huge 2004 hit single “C’mon C’mon,” which subsequently took on a second life as the theme to Denis Leary’s highly acclaimed FX TV series “Rescue Me.”

The Von Bondies spent 2008 touring in support of their self-released EP We Are Kamikazes, which featured selected tracks from the February 3, 2009 release LOVE, HATE AND THEN THERE’S YOU, their third studio album and debut for Majordomo Records (an imprint of Shout! Factory). A limited edition 7-inch single of "Pale Bride" backed with the non-album "Falling In Love" is also in stores now.
