JanSport, the original outdoor gear Brand that equips people globally with quality backpacks, travel gear and collegiate apparel, today announced that it will hit the road with The Dashing Suns, an Oakland, CA-based indie rock band, from March 16 - March 22, 2009 to celebrate the launch of its new Brand video, featuring the song “Future Thunder” recorded by The Dashing Suns.

The Dashing Suns week-long roadtrip tour will consist of six show dates with notable performance to include JanSport’s sponsored music showcase at ReadyMade Magazine’s ReadyMade Rocks! at SXSW, a party fusing music and art. JanSport will also hold a special promotion that day inviting all SXSW party-goers to turn in their old JanSport packs to be recycled on-site in exchange for a brand new Heritage Series Ski & Hike pack. All old packs received will be sent to JanSport’s Everett , Wa . Warranty Center where their parts will repurposed into new packs.
