Dirty Mercy record release party Friday

WHAT: Up and coming L.A. natives Dirty Mercy often described as "An entirely vital, autonomous style of music, rooted in classic rock and roll, blues folk and soul" release their first EP.

Dirty Mercy can be perceived, in comparison with other rock bands, as a more authentic, genuine, dynamic, organic and old school rock & roll type of band. It truly takes you back to the roots of what rock & roll really is all about. The evening will mark the official international release of the recording.

Beyond the band itself, recording/mixing engineer Doug Messenger (Van Morrison, Jimmy Eat World, At The Drive In) masterfully captured the band's organic sound-scape using only analog recording gear. In order to put the finishing touches on the EP and ensure that the purity of the recording would be maintained on CD, the band traveled to New York City to receive the services of famed mastering engineer Howie Weinberg. Credits include some of the most iconic albums of the past 20 years from Red Hot Chili Peppers to Smashing Pumpkins to Mars Volta to The Black Crows to Nirvana.

With good old-fashioned 2" inch and ½" tape and not a single bit of computer or digital manipulation, the EP has a noticeable warmth and immensity unlike most recordings available today. More than anything, listeners can appreciate knowing that they are truly getting Dirty Mercy as if they were live in the studio with them.

In thanks to the final member of the team-Dirty Mercy's fans-everyone in attendance at the release party on April 3rd will receive a copy of the EP and more!
