Autry Center to offer free admission to LA County Firefighters

In honor of their dedication and perseverance in fighting the recent Los Angeles–area fires, the Autry National Center extends a special invitation to area firefighters, park rangers, police officers, and their families to visit the museum free of charge through the end of the year.

Visiting personnel will be able to view permanent exhibitions about the American West as well as these temporary exhibitions: Granite Frontiers: A Century of Yosemite Climbing now through October 4; Dreamers in Dream City, on view September 25, 2009, through January 3, 2010; Charting the Canyon: Photographs by Mark Klett & Byron Wolfe, also on view September 25, 2009, through January 3, 2010; and The Art of Native American Basketry: A Living Tradition, on view November 7, 2009, through May 30, 2010.
