On September 17, join Amazon Watch for the Los Angeles premiere and benefit screening of CRUDE, an inspiring new film by award-winning filmmaker, Joe Berlinger. The event will be held at the Harmony Gold Theater and is a fundraiser for Amazon Watch’s Clean Up Ecuador Campaign.
CRUDE chronicles the epic battle to hold oil giant Chevron (formerly Texaco) accountable for its systematic contamination of the Ecuadorian Amazon – an environmental tragedy experts call "the Rainforest Chernobyl." The screening will be followed by a Q&A with filmmaker Joe Berlinger and Amazon Watch and an after party featuring music, organic appetizers, and hosted bar with eco-friendly cocktails and wine. Crude will also be showing at the Landmark Nuart Theater in West Los Angeles from September 18-24.
Premiere after party sponsors include VeeV Acai Spirit, Sambazon, Casa Barranca Wine, Farm Artisan Foods, Ranchos Palos Verdes Travel, Frey Vineyards and Municipal Winemakers.
