Tequila Mockingbird to appear at Blessed Sacrament School Carnaval in October

From Tequila Mockingbird:

Families enjoying the Blessed Sacrament School Carnival, this October 16,17 and 18 will also enjoy participating in a unique attempt at a Guinness World Record. The Carnival, will include rides, games, and food from all of the international traditions that make up the Blessed Sacrament Parish Community. In addition, Liborio’s, the leading maker of Salvadorian and Central American food will attempt to equal or exceed the Guinness record for the largest pupusa, ever made.

Pupsas are a Salvadorian delicacy made of corn flour, cheese, regional vegetables, and specially spiced meat. You can participate and join in the fun by eating a part of the pupusa, after it has been made. Set up of the Pupuseria will begin the final day of the carnival, Sunday Oct. 18th @ 9am. That is an event in itself. The pupusas will be sold all afternoon and evening. All proceeds going to Blessed Sacrament. Thank you Liborio’s market!

Record or not, this is guaranteed to be delicious and fun for every member of the family.
The Blessed Sacrament Carnival also has Ferris wheels, wild rides, games and plenty of other family oriented activities. The Carnival is conducted in the security of the parish campus, and is designed for families, large and small.

When the family needs to refuel, they can chose from exquisitely prepared food from Mexican, Filipino, Eastern European and American born cooks, each providing their national cuisine. The diversity of Blessed Sacrament Parish is displayed through the fine food their families prepare and serve. It is a truly International food event.

Entertainment is also provided throughout the weekend, with bands and performers from Latino and Anglo musical genres, and a Raffle , which will have a GRAND PRIZE OF $5,000. Only $1. To purchase a raffle ticket to win $1,000 or $2,000 or $5,000 being the grand prize. Not necessary to be there to win.

Blessed Sacrament Parish and School is located at 6657 Sunset Boulevard. The campus of the parish is transformed into a fairgrounds, and operates from 6 to 11 on Friday, 4 to 11 on Saturday, and 11 A.M. to 9 P.M. on Sunday. All proceeds go to the Blessed Sacrament Church School, which won a grant from the Archdiocese, this year, and is using the grant to develop a much needed pre-school.
