As the countdown to the 61st Primetime Emmy® Awards begins, TV Guide Network and TVGuide.com today announced plans to celebrate the biggest stars of the small screen with extensive cross-platform coverage, including a live telecast and extensive online coverage. TV Guide Network’s newly named Red Carpet hosts – primetime TV personalities Carrie Ann Inaba (“Dancing with the Stars”) and Chris Harrison (“The Bachelor”) – will interview TV’s biggest stars on the Red Carpet during “Live at the Emmy Awards with Carrie Ann and Chris” on Sunday, September 20 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. ET/PT.
In addition, TVGuide.com will bring fans online coverage of celebrity arrivals from the Red Carpet on starting at 5:30 p.m. ET / 2:30 p.m. PT on Sunday, September 20. TVGuide.com’s coverage will include integrated Facebook® social features, so fans can discuss their favorite celebrity fashions and provide Emmy-related status updates with their friends.
TV Guide Network will dedicate seven hours of original programming to celebrate the Primetime EmmyAwards. Highlights of TV Guide Network’s celebrity interviews from the Red Carpet and Fashion Wrap programming will be distributed by TV Guide Broadband, which provides short-form video content to TVGuide.com, YouTube, Hulu and Fancast, among others. Celebrity interview highlights and Fashion Wrap programming will also be distributed via TV Guide Network On Demand available nationwide on Comcast, Time Warner Cable, Charter Communications, Cox Cable, Verizon Fios, Mediacom and Insight Communications.
TVGuide.com will provide a one-stop destination for Emmy Awards coverage at: www.tvguide.com/emmys. As fans watch celebrity arrivals at TVGuide.com, they will be able to provide Facebook status updates with their thoughts on celebrity fashion and the event. A Facebook embedded application on TVGuide.com will show fans their friends’ relevant status updates. In addition, TVGuide.com’s editorial staff will provide Emmy-related nomination recaps, breaking news, show reviews, photo galleries and actor profiles.
