Milow the Girl to tour West Coast and support Humane Society

Realize Records’ Swiss recording artist Milow the Girl is set to launch her West Coast leg of the “Days of Power” tour on January 22nd, 2011. The tour, in partnership with the Humane Society of the United States, is raising awareness about the horrors of puppy mills.

Puppy mills house dogs in shockingly poor conditions. After their fertility wanes, breeding animals are often killed, abandoned or sold cheaply to another mill to try and get "one more litter" out of the dog. They continue to thrive because they prey on unwitting consumers who are smitten by too-cute-for-words puppies in pet store windows and on seemingly legitimate websites.

“I am excited to be launching the “Days of Power” tour in the states and I hope that we bring attention to this issue to eventually put an end to the puppy mills,” states Milow the Girl.

The “Days of Power” tour commenced in late September 2011 with dates on the East Coast. Stops included thirteen cities from New York City to Atlanta as well as Canada.

For the West Coast tour, the singer will be performing in venues that allow her to connect with her audiences in a more intimate setting and will be testing new material for her next CD. Most of the shows will be acoustic. The West Coast tour dates include January 22nd, Yeah Live! television broadcast, January 23rd, Across the Street at Mueller College, January 24th, Genghis Cohen, January 26th, The Coffee Gallery, January 27th, The Willow Den and January 28th at A’Roma Roasters. The final leg of the tour launches in the Midwest March 2011.

“I am excited to be taking the ‘Days of Power’ tour to California and being able to share my music in an acoustic setting,” states Milow the Girl.

Days of Power was released the summer of 2010 and has been gaining popularity and momentum on AAA radio stations throughout the United States. Songs and videos have also been featured on MTV International and TripleARadio.com.
