Kellogg's to unveil huge cuckoo clock in Hollywood Saturday

That’s the perfect excuse Kellogg Company is offering consumers so they know it’s okay to enjoy the great taste of Kellogg’s Crunchy Nut cereal, being introduced to U.S. consumers January 19.

To celebrate the “It’s Morning Somewhere” campaign, Kellogg’s Crunchy Nut cereal is attempting to set the Guinness World Records® Record for largest cuckoo clock. Celebrity Nick Cannon will be on hand to kick off and emcee the event.

At the U.S. launch of Kellogg’s Crunchy Nut cereal at Hollywood and Highland Center in Los Angeles on January 29, 2011, the brand will celebrate mornings across all time zones with an oversized, interactive cuckoo clock. The Kellogg’s Crunchy Nut cuckoo clock brings the “It’s Morning Somewhere” idea to life with a performer that will emerge every hour starting at noon with a message and skit representing a part of the world where it’s morning. The six-story-tall cuckoo clock and performances symbolize the message that consumers have the perfect excuse to enjoy the irresistible taste of Kellogg’s Crunchy Nut cereal because “It’s Morning Somewhere.”

Kellogg’s Crunchy Nut is one of Kellogg’s most popular brands overseas and comes in two varieties – Roasted Nut and Honey and Golden Honey Nut. Roasted Nut and Honey is a delicious combination of corn and oat Os topped with roasted peanuts and honey, while Golden Honey Nut is comprised of golden flakes of corn drizzled with honey and topped with real peanuts. Consumers will have opportunities to sample Kellogg’s Crunchy Nut cereal throughout the 24-hour event.
