Eatliz, an internationally acclaimed band from Tel Aviv, are proud to premiere their new video for the song “Lose This Child” on PopMatters today. The song is taken from the band’s latest album Teasing Nature (Anova Music). The video was directed by Yuval and Merav Nathan, who are known for their eye-popping stop motion animation, beautifully illustrated in the GRAMMY® nominated video for “Her Morning Elegance" which has been viewed more than 16 million times. The brilliant new creation from the Nathans utilizes moving sand sculptures, which help make the characters part of their environment.

The majority of the video was painstakingly photographed frame by frame at a beach in the early morning hours over several nights. Each night, the crew had limited time and were up against the elements, but were able to create this mini-masterpiece.

“Lose This Child” marks the second collaboration between Eatliz and the Nathans. The first was the video for “Attractive” which was named the “Best Video of the Decade” by Israel's music television channel and had a regular spot in MTV Europe’s playlist.

Since forming nine years ago, Eatliz has been building a strong cult following. The band has described their music as “complicated pop” featuring elements ranging from soft pop and hard rock to Middle Eastern music. The result is a sound that calls to mind artists like Mr. Bungle, Björk and Portishead. Fans of many different genres will find common ground in each song because of their effortless mixing of influences.
