DIRECTIONS:

Eastbound on the 210 Foothill Fwy.: exit Buena Vista St. (35B), drive straight onto Evergreen St., Left onto Buena Vista, Right onto E. Huntington Dr./Historical Route 66, turn right onto Santo Domingo Ave. go .2 miles and turn left into Westminster Gardens Retirement Community. At the Y turn right onto Pepper Tree Lane. The Clubhouse is on the left side of the street.

Westbound on the 210 Foothill Fwy.: exit toward Mount Olive Dr. (36A), merge onto I-605, turn left onto Huntington Dr/Historic Route 66, turn left onto Santo Domingo Ave., go .2 miles and turn left into Westminster Gardens Retirement Community. At the Y turn right onto Pepper Tree Lane. The Clubhouse is on the left side of the street.

Northbound on the 605 Fwy.: Crossover the 210 freeway on the 605 Fwy., turn left onto Huntington Dr/Historic Route 66, turn left onto Santo Domingo Ave., go .2 miles and turn left into Westminster Gardens Retirement Community. At the Y turn right onto Pepper Tree Lane. The Clubhouse is on the left side of the street.

MORNING PROGRAM – 10:30 - NOON: DORI GILBERT - “MARKETING YOUR ARTS USING ETSY, THE WEB AND IN PERSON”

We have invited Dori (Dorothy) to share her knowledge about marketing to help us sell our wearables. She will be talking about Etsy, an on-line craft selling website, websites and how to engage potential clients in person.

AFTERNOON PROGRAM – 1:00 P.M.: DIANE RICKS STUDENT’S FASHION SHOW
THIS MONTH’S WORKSHOP: FEB. 20 (ONE DAY)
DORI GILBERT - “YOUR STORY, YOUR STORE”

Dori will be teaching us how to post our Wearable Art on Etsy and to sell on the Web. Etsy is a well know large website that is available to sell one of a kind. And she’ll also be teaching us how to market our products in person to potential clients. Dori will be telling us how we can express the importance of our unique story and how to tell it in our online store. Bring your laptop computer and join us. If you don’t have a computer, don’t worry you can still take notes and look over someone shoulder at their computer to learn how to use these important tools.

LOCATION: "Bags 'n' Bobbins in Claremont.

COST: $60 for members, $70 for non-members

2. WAC ANNUAL CHALLENGE –"TEAR IT UP" Rip it, Tear it, Shred it, Burn it! This year’s challenge is all about raw edges and what you can do with them and what they can do for you.

WAC has a 24 page newsletter that is published quarterly: February, May, August & November.
Email deadline is the 14th of the month before publication.
