Violinist David Garrett to tour

Internationally renowned violinist David Garrett has gained legions of fans once again with his edgy blend of classical and rock music on his sophomore effort Rock Symphonies and smash Public Television Special of the same name. Rock Symphonies debuted at #2 behind Sting and remained in the top 5 of Billboard’s Classical Crossover chart, peaking at #1, for an impressive 13 weeks. On the heels of a very successful 2010, the internationally renowned violinist will perform on The Today Show January 21st before kicking off his headlining U.S. tour in Seattle on February 1st. Garrett will also hit several major cities including Los Angeles, Chicago, New York City, Boston and Washington D.C. among other cities (For a complete list of tour dates below).

Other high profile TV appearances include Good Morning America, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and CBS Saturday Early Show among others. The Los Angeles Times noted that David Garrett was a “captivating champion of the right of rock and classical music to share chords” and USA Today dubbed Garrett as an artist “on the edge of stardom in the USA”. In December, he landed on Billboard’s Boxscore Chart as one of the top grossing concert acts among Justin Bieber, The Eagles and Metallica.

Rock Symphonies features new interpretations of his favorite rock anthems by U2, Nirvana, Metallica and Aerosmith to name a few. In concert the crowd can expect to hear David’s technically flawless violin playing shine through with precision and power backed by his explosive four-piece rock band.
