Saves the Day and Bayside to tour

Saves The Day & Bayside are excited to announce their fall co-headlining US tour. Sure to be one of the hottest tickets this fall, the tour kicks off on October 6th in Philadelphia, making stops in 31 cities across the United States. I Am The Avalanche and Transit will open all shows; both of whom will have new albums out in early October.

"We are thrilled to be touring this fall with our good friends in Bayside,” commented Saves The Day lead singer Chris Conley. “We'll be playing a bunch of new songs in support of our new album, Daybreak, as well as all the old songs you're dying to hear."

”I have to keep re-checking my emails to make sure I'm not imagining this tour,” remarked Bayside lead singer Anthony Raneri. “It is for sure one of my favorite line ups. I've been listening to Saves The Day since high school and they're still one of my favorite bands ever. I have followed Vinnie from I Am The Avalanche since his Movielife days and have loved everything he's done with Avalanche. It's safe to say that without Saves The Day and Vinnie's work, there would never have been a Bayside. Not to mention they are some of my best friends now. Absolutely can't wait.”

Tickets for all shows will go on sale on Thursday August 18th at Noon. An exclusive online Pre-Sale will begin at Noon this Friday. Visit:

For Saves The Day, the tour will serve as the launch of their upcoming new album Daybreak (Razor & Tie), due out on September 13th. Forerunners of the emo scene since their inception in 1997, Saves The Day are one of the few that have survived the test of time for almost fifteen years. Produced by Marc Jacob Hudson (Two Tongues, Chiodos) and Saves The Day, the much anticipated Daybreak is the final piece of a three album concept trilogy that started with the 2006 release Sound The Alarm and the 2008 release Under The Boards. “Sound The Alarm is an expression of discontent. Under The Boards is reflection and remorse. Daybreak is acceptance,” explains Chris Conley. “Daybreak wraps up the challenges we wrote about on the previous two albums and transcends the pain those songs were about by facing the fear and angst that comes in this life and tiring it into growth and positive change.” The first single from the album will be “Deranged & Desperate.”

Saves The Day formed in 1997, releasing their debut album Can't Slow Down in 1998 and followed by Through Being Cool in 1999. 2001's Stay What You Are spawned the memorable "At Your Funeral" as the band continued to evolve and grow. 2003's In Reverie peaked at #27 on the Billboard Top 200, becoming the third Saves The Day album to chart on the Billboard Top 200. In 2006, the band began its concept trilogy, which is now being completed in 2011 with Daybreak. Saves The Day is Chris Conley (Vocals/lead guitar), Arun Bali (Guitar), Rodrigo Palma (Bass) and Claudio Rivera (Drums).

Bayside’s most recent album, Killing Time, was released by Wind-Up Records on February 22, 2011. The album debuted at #35 on Billboard’s Top 200 charts and has received amazing reviews. Killing Time is the band’s 5th studio album and first for Wind-Up. Known for their extensive touring, Bayside wrapped a European tour with A Day to Remember in January 2011 and the following month flew to Australia to take part in the Soundwave Festival. This past spring they hit the road as one of the headliners of the Take Action Tour. Presented by Hot Topic, the tour also included Silverstein, Polar Bear Club, The Swellers and Texas in July.
