Back by popular demand and generous funding by the Arcadia Public Library Foundation, the Classical Kaleidoscope Concert Series will kick off this season with Twilight-Beethoven’s Late Period on Wednesday, October 5 at 7:00 p.m.
The opus 130 String Quartet was composed as Beethoven’s creativity reached a profound intensity, while his personal life was very fragile. A discussion of Beethoven’s biography by Maynard Solomon will create a more vivid picture.
Professional musicians Paul Stein, violin, Aaron Oltman, viola, Jason Uyeyama, violin and David Garrett, cello will all be performing.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Seating is limited to the first 150 people in the Library’s Cay Mortenson Auditorium so please arrive early. Admission is free and no reservations are necessary. After the concert, you are also cordially invited to meet and speak with the musicians.
The second concert will be on November 30 at 7:00 p.m. Each concert is unique and memorable. For more information, please call (626) 294-4808.
The Arcadia Public Library is located at 20 W. Duarte Rd.
