Urban California II
The California Art Club at The Old Mill presents Urban California II –
a follow-up to a popular exhibition unveiled in December 2005 at this
gallery located at “El Molino Viejo,” an architectural landmark in the
San Gabriel Valley.
Urban California II will feature approximately 40 urban landscapes
that capture images of city life in California’s famed metropolitan areas.
The imagery in the display includes historic landmarks, popular
restaurants, vibrant street scenes, and, of course, a few of the
omnipresent freeways that link communities.
The exhibition follows the publication of California Light: A Century
of Landscapes - Paintings of the California Art Club. The 276-page
deluxe book from Skira Rizzoli features 300 California landscape
paintings created during the past 100 years by artist members of the Club
