LA Philharmonic concert coming to movie theaters Oct. 9

Riding on the heels of a successful debut season, the LA Philharmonic (LA Phil) and NCM Fathom announced today another opportunity to experience the up-close, behind-the-scenes, dramatic sight and sound experience of LA Phil LIVE in U.S. theaters. Beginning on October 9 in more than 430 select movie theaters, with additional performances in February and spring 2012, LA Phil LIVE season two will offer an intimate glimpse inside Walt Disney Concert Hall with world-renowned Music Director Gustavo Dudamel. Also, in a rare live broadcast from Caracas, Venezuela, Dudamel will lead more than 1,000 musicians for Mahler 8, “Symphony of a Thousand,” conducting the two organizations that feature so prominently in his life: the Los Angeles Philharmonic and the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela.

Tickets for LA Phil LIVE’s season two in-theater events will be available on Friday, August 19 at participating theater box offices and online at www.fathomevents.com. For a complete list of theater locations and ticket prices, please visit the website (theaters and participants are subject to change).
