The Albert McNeil Jubilee Singers is NOT a gospel Choir. Our mission is primarily to preserve, and perform the Spiritual, and other works, and compositions by African-American composers and arrangers. We represent one of the few ensembles in this country whose major focus is the Spiritual. We have a tremendous track record 77 countries, and 44 states, we have performed in 4 contiments in the world and represented the United States as ambassadors of the indigenous choral music of this country. While our repertory is primarily Spirituals, chornologically we do include some contemporary Gospel Selections, but that is not our forte. We do include music from the Black Theatre, however, including major works such as "Porgy and Bess" (Gershwin), "Carmen Jones" (Hammerstein), "Ragtime", "Show Boat", and music representing the African Diaspora as it has influenced the indigenous music of Venezuela, Brazil, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Columbia, Jamaica, Panama, Mexico and Peru.
