The Elliott Caine Quintet performs for "Make Music Pasadena", part of a daylong event, on Saturday, June 16. The quintet will perform at the back courtyard ofVromans' Bookstore, 695 East Colorado Blvd., Pasadena 91101, from 7:00-7:45pm. There is no cover charge for the music.
The quintet features Elliott Caine-trumpet, Carl Randall-tenor sax, Rick Olson-piano, Bill Markus-bass, Kenny Elliott-drums. This group performed last summer at the Hollywood & Highland Tuesday Evening Jazz Series, sponsored by KKJZ, and currently is performing songs from its latest cd, "Hippie Chicks on Acid", among others.
The Elliott Caine Quintet (EC-trumpet, Carl Randall-tenor sax, Mahesh Balasooriya-piano, Trevor Ware-bass, Kenny Elliott-drums) performs at The York, 5018 York Blvd., LA 90042 (Highland Park) on Sunday, June 17 (Father's Day!), from 7:30 to 10pm. No cover charge.
