Vocal Trash offers eco-friendly music

Now in its tenth year, Vocal Trash engages audiences across the country with a perfect mix of pop, rock, swing and classic oldies and an eclectic blend of instruments and performers. But there's another important element to their work: environmental education. Their songs all reflect earth-friendly values like recycling and upcycling. The instruments Vocal Trash plays reinforce their message; many are cleverly crafted from material that might otherwise have gone to the dump.

Kids are especially receptive to the act, which includes dynamic dance routines and comedy antics in addition to music. Lisa Maldonado, with the Keller, TX PTA, praised the act as “…a wonderfully energetic and educational assembly…you are such professional role models.”

“My kids saw Vocal Trash this morning and they are awesome,” said one parent. “Lots of educational value.” The band is taking that educational value one step further with the creation of a charity to help kids and the environment.

“We're like a fusion of the Black-Eyed Peas and Al Gore,” says song and dance lead Kelsey Rae. She adds, “We’re simply presenting a positive message in an effective way. Music and dance is universal... there’s no better way to reach the masses.” Kelsey also coined the group’s mantra, “THINK... before you throw it away.”

Vocal Trash plays to capacity crowds, from Las Vegas to Madison Square Garden, presenting a 10+ wow factor in a wide variety of venues. Audiences can’t seem to get enough of this energetic group whose music literally gets people up and dancing in the aisles. Vocal Trash is the ultimate variety show with an urban feel and Broadway appeal.

Touring coast to coast, this in-demand group of top notch entertainers have made appearances on Worldwide Telemundo, Fox 21 in Colorado and Good Morning Texas (both Houston and Dallas), various high profile “Green” websites and numerous large market newspaper publications. They perform for fairs, festivals and corporate events as well.
