Knott's Berry Farm is hosting the first-ever Knott’s Berry Jam, a battle of the bands that showcases local up-and-coming musical talent. AMFM, August Rising, Go West Young Man and That Noise will be performing live on stage on Saturday, August 4th from 7 -10 p.m. These four bands were chosen by Knott’s Berry Farm and its exclusive event partner Music Dealers™ to give park-goers a chance to hear them live before they hit the mainstream. Find out more about the bands below and listen to them on the official Knott’s Berry Jam Pandora station.
· AMFM - Bridging the gap between ‘90s and contemporary alternative rock, AMFM's powerful arrangements create a classic sound that is still original and all their own
· August Rising - With soaring choruses and introspective lyrics, LA’s August Rising crafts energetic modern rock
· Go West Young Man - Led by songwriter Damin Suarez, Go West Young Man harnesses a diverse array of influences, from sunny pop to angular punk
· That Noise - Forged in the LA underground art scene, That Noise uses electronic influences to add layers to their tightly-crafted rock songs
The winning band will be selected by Jam attendees, Knott’s Berry Farm representative and Snoopy himself. In addition to a lifetime of bragging rights in the Southern California music scene and thousands of new adoring fans, the winning band will also receive a $1,000 cash prize.
“We are thrilled to welcome these local bands onto our Wagon Camp stage for a live performance,” said Raffi Kaprelyan, general manager for Knott’s Berry Farm. “The Knott’s Berry Jam was designed to draw music lovers, park lovers and fans alike to spend time together rocking out at the park. It also furthers our commitment to the Southern California community.”
