The Kicks to release album

With Tonight Changes Everything in tow and a renewed sense of purpose Nashville's break out rockers The Kicks are hitting the road with one clear objective; to take their already impressive live show to a new level and to help their fans have a blast.

"We know that people come to Kicks shows to have a good time," Jordan Phillips (lead vocals, rhythm guitar) admits. "They want to forget about their problems and stresses for awhile. It may sound silly, but we take that job very seriously. A little inspiration can go a long way."

Formed in 2008 after meeting in college, The Kicks - Phillips, Adam Stark (lead guitar, keys, backing vocals,) Gabriel Anderson (bass, backing vocals) and Lucas Cummins (drums) - took to the Nashville club scene with their big guitars, sweeping harmonies and indelible hooks. Earning a devout following, The Kicks rolled their popularity into a side gig - a cover band, to raise extra money to fund their record.

Passing on the increasingly popular fund raising sites, The Kicks took direct to their fans performing live - booking private parties, weddings, company functions as well as performing original material at their regular club gigs. The Kicks were in the trenches playing all night and recording all day.

As word spread about their live show, so did the music with "Good Morning" from their debut The Rise of King Richie featured in a national ad campaign for Lowes. The song "Hawk Eyes" from their EP and forthcoming full length has been placed on Lifetime TV's "Blue Lagoon," CW's "Vampire Diaries," ABC Family's "Pretty Little Liars," TNT's "Franklin & Bash" and MTV's "Buck Wild."

By 2012 they had earned enough money to enlist the guidance and expertise of Grammy Award winning producers Mitch Dane and Vance Powell (Jack White, Raconteurs, Kings of Leon) for Tonight Changes Everything, an album that continues to celebrate and honor the best rock and roll of the last half century while simultaneously embracing many of the most impressive aspects of today's modern music scene.

The last four years of trench work taught the band something important about the value of determination, resolve, encouragement and vision; all of which are on display in songs like "My Love Is Good," "1984," "Hard to Believe" and the set's first single "Live Fast, Die Young."
