Flobots announce second leg of tour

Packing their suitcase with protest anthems, FLOBOTS will launch the second leg of their North American tour in their hometown of Denver, Colorado on April 19th. Spanning 31 stops in all, the band will circle the country, hitting both coasts and the Deep South before swooping through the Midwest on their way back home. Fellow Denver band Wheelchair Sports Camp will offer support.

Still in support of their new record The Circle In The Square, which was released byShanachie Records on August 28th, 2013, the socio-political activists cum high-energy musicians will look to use their music to expand awareness of the profound economic, political and social transformations taking place around the world today. With a soapbox stage presence and extremely emotional and politically charged platform, the tour will serve to not only promote the album itself, but also the band’s overwhelming desire to see change in the world. This change can be seen in the video for their first single, “The Circle In The Square,” which premiered on Huffington Post. You can stream the video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=958IDn8Nh1A.

Formed in Denver, CO when a pair of intelligent, visionary emcees joined focuses with a powerful rhythm section and a classically-trained violist, Flobots fused disparate interests and styles of music to create a potent combination that brings together live hip-hop, strings-laden breakbeats and symphonic rock-infused crescendos that has earned them a reputation for both originality and authenticity. Written during the height of the Iraq war, their mega-hit “Handlebars” thrust them into the spotlight, earning the band a #3 position on Billboard’s “Modern Rock Tracks” chart.
