THE ENSEMBLE
Founded in 1979, Southern California's renowned and much-loved Pacific Trio has played more than 1,000 concerts in the United States, Canada, and Europe. They serve as trio-in-residence at the Idyllwild Arts Summer Program in Southern California. In 1986, the trio made its New York debut at Lincoln Center in a concert benefitting the New York chapter of the Alzheimer's Foundation.

Discovering Voices in the Post-Romantic 20th Century Ernest Bloch (1880-1959) Three Nocturnes (1924) Alexander Zemlinsky (1871-1942) Trio in D Minor, Op.3 (1896) Erich Wolfgang Korngold (1897-1957) Trio in D Major, Op.1 (1908)
Hollywood film music had its roots in Vienna from Alexander Zemlinsky through his famous student Erich Wolfgang Korngold (The Adventures of Robin Hood (1938)). Both Zemlinsky and Korngold fled the Nazis for the United States. Swiss-born Ernest Bloch also found his way to America in 1916.
