Grand Old Echo kicks off April 14

The popular live Americana music series kicks off their 8th season on Sunday, April 14 (details below).  The show will continue to be a free/all ages show that begins at 5:30 pm and ends at 9pm.

Originator, Kim Grant will again be at the helm, with Matt Farber taking over the talent booking for the main stage and Ben Reddell manning the “back porch” low-fi stage.  The team just got back from Austin ,TX where in partnership with Carolina Chickadee booking, they hosted an “unofficial” Americana stage at Maria’s Taco Xpress called the “Grand Ole Austin”.  The successful day party included 14 bands and was just included in the Los Angeles Magazine article,  “Five Amazing Moments at SXSW”.

The gang will continue that spirit this season in Los Angeles, bringing aboard well-known acts as Ronnie Fauss, Eilen Jewell, Chris Schiflett, and The Americans, while continuing to book local favorite acts I See Hawks in LA, Olin & The Moon, Dan Janisch and many more.
The kickoff will take place at the Echoplex, but the series will resume the following week at their usual spot—The Echo
