Hear Bjork's online concert May 5

I love Bjork. She does her own thing, not caring what anyone thinks and she's talented and innovated as well. And what about that swan dress?? I'd wear it, but she did it first. Don't miss this cool concert! ~M

NPR Music and WNYC, New York Public Radio will offer a special live online concert of Icelandic singer Björk’s sold-out performance from the United Palace in New York City on Saturday, May 5 beginning at 8:00 p.m. ET. The concert will be streamed live at www.NPR.org/music, and will also be available as a free MP3 download on www.NPR.org/liveconcerts and the NPR Music All Songs Considered podcast. NPR Music All Songs Considered’s Bob Boilen and Jad Abumrad, host and producer of WNYC’s Radio Lab, will co-host the online concert.

WNYC will present an encore broadcast of Björk’s performance from the United Palace on Monday, May 14 at 7:00 p.m. ET on 93.9FM and via a live webstream at www.WNYC.org. NPR Music and WNYC will make this special radio broadcast available to NPR Member stations.

On her new album, Volta, Björk explores the current state of the world through eclectic rhythms and tribal beats. Björk will be joined by African collective Konono No. 1 during her performance from the United Palace.
