The Red Chord is on the road

Massachusetts grindcore powerhouses The Red Chord have completed work on their new video for “Dread Prevailed.” The Red Chord brought in the prolific David Brodsky (GWAR, God Forbid, All That Remains) to direct. The video, which features a nightmarish car ride with the band, is available on the Metal Blade Records website at http://www.metalblade.com/english/artists/theredchord/video5.php.

The Red Chord is also in the midst of the Metal Blade Records 25th Anniversary Tour which also features such Metal Blade artists as the legendary Cannibal Corpse, The Black Dahlia Murder, Goatwhore, and The Absence. The tour has been a success so far with Sold Out shows in Houston, San Antonio and Phoenix so far!

Following the Metal Blade US tour, The Red Chord will travel to Europe to play with death metal sensations Job For A Cowboy and The Black Dahlia Murder in late November.

The Red Chord is touring to support their latest release, “Prey For Eyes.” A sprawling enigma, the album traverses nightmarish soundscapes with mind-bending time changes, gnashing guitars and schizophrenic vocals. This is dangerous and thought provoking music that transcends genres.

“Their third album, Prey for Eyes…sees the Ozzfest vets bashing together technical death metal with chest-thumping East Coast hardcore, producing a crazed, contorted barrage that’s an ideal backdrop for vocalist Guy Kozowyk’s tirades about human weakness and the ills of society.” Revolver

“At this point, it would be difficult for anyone to disparage the method to The Red Chord’s madness. After all, the band has proven doubters-even well meaning doubters-wrong again and again.” Outburn

“Prey for Eyes is the product of a highly competent band that understands that chops are never more important than groove… Everything The Red Chord attempt – whether it’s blurry grindcore, blustery black metal or straight-up thrash – is a shot through with an innate sense of swing.” Decibel
