Man Man to hit the road in support of debut release

Bearded and war-painted, Man Man are taking their riotous junkyard-doo-wop-carny-spoon-bending- show on the road in support of their Anti- Records debut, Rabbit Habits. The two month tour covers the U.S, including appearances at the rowdy South By Southwest festival and the famed Coachella Valley Arts and Music festival, before heading to the U.K to play All Tomorrow’s Parties with the likes of Hot Chip, Of Montreal and Ween.

Revered for their kinetic live show, Man Man have honed their chops with the likes of Modest Mouse, Arcade Fire and the Fiery Furnaces. The band famously does not stop between songs, but rather move from one song to the next, swapping instruments and improvising rhythms, melodies and, most excitingly, noisemakers. Reports of shoes, bowls of water and stuffed frogs on stage have only added to the mythology of the Man Man live experience. The result is an exhilarating show that ebbs and flows, elevating the audience to dizzying heights before dropping them on their heads.

Rabbit Habits, Man Man’s third, marks their debut for the acclaimed Anti- Records, home of such notables as Tom Waits, Nick Cave and Neko Case. Successfully capturing the raw spirit and essence of a Man Man live show, the record is the end product of a band that sometimes baffles and chafes, but never fails to excite and inspire.

“There’s something entrancing about bands that are aesthetically a bit kooky, at once intensely focused and unhinged. This innovative Philly rock troupe is all of these things and has the skills and fiercely engaging tunes to ground its chaotic onstage revelry.” -Chicago Tribune

Main support March 4th to April 10th will be Philly homies/fellow facial hair aficionados The Extraordinaires, while the second half of the tour will feature the band who celebrate communal ecstatic revelry, the not-to-be-missed Yeasayer.
