Brian Culbertson to premiere new album on 94.7 The Wave

Smooth Jazz 94.7 The WAVE (KTWV-FM) and www.947theWAVE.com presents the World Premiere of acclaimed keyboardist Brian Culbertson’s brand new album, BRINGING BACK THE FUNK. The special airs on April 27 at 8:00 PM (PST) and will be hosted by the artist himself, Brian Culbertson and Executive Producer of the album, world renowned founder and leader of Earth, Wind and Fire, Maurice White. BRINGING BACK THE FUNK is scheduled to be released on Tuesday, Apr. 29.

Culbertson is back with his tenth release, and this time he’s BRINGING BACK THE FUNK! This album pays tribute to the Funk Era which has played an important role in shaping Culbertson’s musical sound.

Guest appearances include some of Funk’s greatest players such as, Larry Graham of Sly & the Family Stone, Bootsy Collins, jazz favorites Ronnie Laws and Gerald Albright, plus vocals by Ledisi, Musiq Soulchild and many more.

Culbertson and White will spend the evening sharing insights about their experience creating BRINGING BACK THE FUNK and playing tracks from the new album. The special will air live from L.A.’s Smooth Jazz 94.7 The WAVE (KTWV-FM) and will air nationally on smooth jazz stations across the country.
