Randy Travis to release new effort in July

With one of the most recognizable voices in country music, Randy Travis returns to his roots releasing his first new country album in eight years, Around the Bend, will be released by Warner Bros. Records on July 15, 2008. With over 25 years on the charts, Randy Travis is one of the top ten selling solo country artists of all time. Having sold over 21 million albums, he has 22 #1 hits, six GRAMMY® Awards, five Country Music Awards, nine Academy of Country Music Awards and ten American Music Awards to his name. The album’s debut single and video, “Faith in You,” are both currently available for download on iTunes.

Travis will perform at the 18th William Shatner’s Wells Fargo Hollywood Charity Horse Show on Saturday, April 26, 2008. The event, which takes place at the Los Angeles Equestrian Center, benefits special needs children across the City of Los Angeles through local charities: Ahead With Horses and Camp Max Straus Foundation. The day-long event will conclude with a performance by Travis.

Releasing on DVD on May 13, 2008, by Genius Products, LLC The Wager stars Travis as Michael Steele, a blockbuster actor who has reached the height of Hollywood success when his faith is tested. Based on the best-selling book by Bill Myers, The Wager is a powerful parable examining how to live out faith in today’s world, challenging people to see that faith is found when it is tested.
