CMT Crossroads to feature Maroon 5 and Sata Evans

Grammy-winning pop band Maroon 5 along with one of country’s hottest superstars - multi-platinum artist and 2006 ACM Female Vocalist of the year - Sara Evans are featured in the new installment of CMT CROSSROADS. Taped before an invitation only audience in Nashville, Maroon 5 and Sara Evans came together for a night of harmony in CMT CROSSROADS: MAROON 5 AND SARA EVANS. In the one-hour episode, Maroon 5 and Sara Evans sing some of Evans’ hits including “I Could Not Ask For More” and “Some Things Never Change.” Also featured are the Maroon 5 hits “This Love,” “She Will Be Loved” and “Won’t Go Home Without You.” They also pay homage to Don Henley with their rendition of “Leather and Lace.” Premieres Friday, May 9 at 9:00 p.m., ET/PT

Thousands of country star hopefuls auditioned, but only two performers will make the final cut to become country’s next great duo when CMT premieres CAN YOU DUET, a new 11-episode music competition series from “American Idol” producers FremantleMedia North America. Host Rossi Morreale will lead a panel of celebrity and expert judge/mentors, including country superstar Naomi Judd, acclaimed vocal coach Brett Manning and award-winning songwriter Aimee Mayo, in the weekly series that will seek to find country music’s next great duo – with the winner walking away with a recording contract with Sony BMG Nashville. This week, only 12 duos remain to receive personal mentoring from country superstar Naomi Judd. The following day all 12 duos must perform in front of the judging panel. The judges will then narrow the field to Final 8 Duos. Premieres Friday, May 9 at 8:00 p.m., ET/PT
