Check out Stubdog for half-price tickets

STUBDOG (www.stubdog.com) is Los Angeles’ newest half price ticketing agency for Theatre, Concerts, Sports and Events. In this economically challenged time, STUBDOG offers 50% tickets to many of the top events Southern California has to offer. But there is a difference! STUBDOG has pledged to return 10% of all profits back into the community. For every ticket sold, 10% will go to benefit such local organizations as the L.A. Stage Alliance, to assist them in these times of economic hardship, among other local arts organizations to be announced shortly. STUBDOG makes it easy to purchase tickets on their comprehensive site as well! There is no membership fee, nor does one need to “sign up” to become a member. It’s as simple as going to the site, purchasing a ticket and knowing that part of the ticket price is being returned to many great local causes!

StubDog was created to give people the opportunity to try something new at half-the-price. With so many things to do in Los Angeles, it’s hard to keep track of them all, so STUBDOG created a single place where consumers can come to browse all the great events going on in their area.

StubDog is constantly looking for ways to partner with local companies to foster relationships that will be far reaching. StubDog is different from other half-price ticketing sites, as it gives back to the community in ways that will ultimately help the local areas it serves. They are currently donating 10% of its profits in each city they service, to various local organizations. As they continue to grow, their hope is to increase this percentage and their involvement in the communities in which they do business.

Additionally, every year StubDog has an annual fundraiser where they donate their own profits to promote the arts. In 2007 they raised money for the Texas Children's Cancer Center's Arts in Medicine program, donating a weeks worth of profits that provided arts supplies.

In 2008, StubDog worked to raise money for arts organizations affected by the devastation of Hurricane Ike, and STUBDOG donated $2 for every ticket sold from November 12- December 12, 2008. Half of their profits for one month went directly to the Hurricane Ike Arts Relief Fund to assist organizations that have experienced sustained loss of electricity, structural damage and performance rescheduling from Hurricane Ike. Theatres and artists are also experiencing slower ticket sales while rebuilding from this massive natural disaster.
