Mr. T’s Bowl is a legend in the world of Indie rock. Located on the famous Route 66 in Highland Park, CA, Mr. T’s Bowl is one of the first rock and roll nightclubs in L.A. It has a large stage with new lighting, a huge wooden dance floor, superior acoustics and sound system and the best sound man in L.A. In 1966, the original owner, the undefeatable Joe T., brought in hot, new bands to give them their start and eventually turned Mr. T’s into a rock and roll club sans bowling. Customers have danced to the music, and the club has been continuously open to welcome the new sounds of each generation for the past 45 years.

Mr. T’s Bowl always surprises young people who have been raised in plastic environments. “Man, this place is so REAL.” And it is “real” with a bar that looks straight from “Cheers”, providing a neighborhood, chummy vibe that makes people relax and feel at home. Customers don’t just like Mr. T’s, they always say, “I love this place!” And there’s the bonus of plenty of free parking and easy access off the Pasadena Freeway.

Mr. T’s Bowl has also been chosen for rock videos by stars, such as Snoop Dog and Robbie Williams and dozens of movies and TV shows have been filmed there, including "Throw Mama from the Train" with Danny Devito. It has been featured in L.A. Weekly as the place to “Go! Go! Go!”; Highlighted in the Rolling Stone Magazine; and written about on the front page of the L.A. Times. Mr. T’s is a perfect place to premiere a new recording, hold a special event, and blast out hot new sounds that can rock the world. Le’s party at Mr. T’s Bowl, 5621½ Figueroa, Highland Park, CA 90042. To book a show, band or event, email vcrawford@cox.net.

Mr. T's is also within a few hundred feet of the Metro Gold Line Highland Park station. On a couple of occasions I have ridden the train to AMCB gigs at Mr. T's.
