On Wednesday, August 17 at 7:30 p.m. The Americana at Brand will transform into a rock n’ roll paradise when two-time “Star Search” grand champion and power vocalist Jake Simpson performs. Pull out that old concert t-shirt for the debut of “ARENA: Born to Rock” produced by Chris Isaacson Presents. Using his impressive three-octave range vocals and backed by a five-piece band, Simpson will perform the heart-wrenching power ballads and play the explosive guitar riffs that came to define the arena rock sound that dominated the charts throughout the 70’s and 80’s. Simpson and his band will perform hit songs from the all-stars of rock and roll including Journey, Foreigner, REO Speedwagon, Van Halen, Styx, the Eagles and more. Simpson has performed with American Idol greats, David Archuleta, Adam Lambert and Frenchie Davis and garnered praise for his hit album “My Song.” In addition, Syesha Mercado, celebrated finalist from Season 7 of American Idol and star of the national tour of “Dreamgirls” will debut her highly anticipated new single.
