Tickets are now on sale for the Downtown Long Beach Associates’ (DLBA) massive New Year’s Eve celebration taking place on Pine Avenue and Broadway. Kicking off at 7 p.m. on Saturday, December 31, 2011, the high-energy street party will encompass two-square blocks and feature live music by Wayward Sons and Love Fool, covering hits from the ‘70s, ‘80s and the ‘90s.
Advance tickets are $10 each, with a limited special discount package including VIP parking and two tickets available for $27. Advanced tickets can be purchased online at www.downtownlongbeach.org , through Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at 5 p.m. Tickets at the event will be sold for $15 each.
Love Fool will open the show with a rocking ‘90s set and in keeping with the countdown theme, they’ll be back for a ‘80s mix that will set the tone for the event headliner. Wayward Sons, a celebrated ‘70s cover band, will wow the crowd for two hours and rock ‘n roll right up until midnight, when the countdown to 2012 begins. At midnight, fireworks from the Queen Mary will light up the sky for the New Year.
Five outdoor bars will serve up a variety of spirits, allowing guests to enjoy food and beverages throughout the venue without missing a minute of live music.
