Korallreven in LA March 8

Swedish duo Korallreven will perform at The Echoplex on Thursday, March 8th.

Korallreven (Marcus Joons and Daniel Tjäder of The Radio Dept) will be making their stateside debut featuring a special guest appearance from Victoria Bergsman (The Concretes, Taken By Trees). Doors are at 8:30pm. $12/$16 DOS.

After playing their first live shows in Scandinavia this past December, the duo will be performing select US dates behind their acclaimed debut, An Album By Korallreven, featuring Bergsman and Brooklyn-based experimentalist Julianna Barwick. A few performances like this one will include a special guest appearance by Bergsman, who was featured on their single "As Young As Yesterday." Named one of Pitchfork's 'Best New Tracks' and #1 on the Hype Machine for several weeks, the single also featured remixes by Panda Bear and Girl Unit.

Korallreven's first single 'Honey Mine' was released early last year, quickly earning them 'Most Blogged Artist' status on the Hype Machine. Shortly after, they released their summer-released A Dream Within A Dream mixtape that featured a highly circulated remix of Britney Spears' "Till the World Ends." Following the late 2011 release of An Album, available now on Acéphale, the band recently released 'ONANDONANDON,' a new mixtape streaming on Mixcloud described as "acid synths, sharp rave breaks, and a little bit of Baby D's 1992 chart smash, Let Me Be Your Fantasy."
