Murder at the Conga Club in Long Beach extended to Sept. 30

After a successful first run, the Interactive Murder Mystery Dinner show “Murder at the Conga Club” has extended their stay at Sevilla restaurant and night club in downtown Long Beach until Sunday, September 30th, 2012. Shows start back up again on June 10th and are scheduled for Sundays at 6:30PM. All inclusive tickets are $69, which includes a three-course gourmet dinner, tax, gratuity, non-alcoholic beverage and entertainment.

That means there’s still time to bring out your inner Sherlock Holmes!

Named the “Best Mystery Dinner Theater in LA County” by the LA Times, “A Murder at the Conga Club” is sure to put audiences at the edge of their seats.

The mystery begins when guests are informed the Conga Club is haunted by Julie Rose, a famous local singer who was murdered in her dressing room 70 years ago. Her murderer has never been apprehended and her ghost still roams around the Conga Club to this day. In attempt to rid the club of her presence, the case has been reopened and it’s up to the audience to help solve the case.

When not busy crime-solving, guests have the chance to enjoy a three-course dinner and enjoy access to a full bar in the middle of downtown Long Beach.

This fully interactive murder mystery dinner was written by Long Beach resident and Cal State Long Beach theater alumnus Baron Mosely, who also was the creator and original producer of the show. Mosely was brought back as a consultant by the current producer and director Ryan McFarland of McFarland's Murder Mystery.

“Every time I think I’m done producing these murder mystery shows, I somehow get pulled back into it,” said Mosely.

McFarland is excited to revive the show and is looking forward to bringing the production back to Long Beach.

"The first time I read the play I knew I had to see it live, so I figured, why not bring this to life,” said McFarland. “It’s even better than I could have ever imagined, and I can't wait to share it with the world!"

The Sevilla restaurant and night club is located at 140 Pine Ave. Long Beach, CA 90802. Doors open on Sundays at 5:30pm.

Starting June 10th, tickets to the Interactive Murder Mystery Dinner are $69, which includes a three-course dinner and admission to the show. Group discounts are also available. To make reservations or for more information, please visit www.murderatthecongaclub.com or call 562-528-0606.
