Roshon Fegan at Grammy Museum June 25

The GRAMMY Museum is honored to welcome musical artist, songwriter, producer and actor Roshon Fegan to the Clive Davis Theater for a special discussion and performance on Monday, June 25, 2012. Fegan most recently starred on the 14th season of “Dancing with the Stars,” and stars on the Disney Channel original series “Shake It Up!”



Fegan will sit down with GRAMMY Museum Associate Manager of Education Vice President Nwaka Onwusa to share his career experiences, participate in a Q&A with students and perform a few songs.



Born and raised in Los Angeles Roshon discovered at the young age of four that he had an undying passion for entertaining people. Roshon most recently starred on the 14th season of “Dancing with the Stars” and is most widely recognized for his roles on the Disney Channel. He currently stars on the Disney Channel original series “Shake It Up!” as Ty Blue, and prior to this role, he gained popular notoriety as Sander Loyer in the Disney Channel original movies “Camp Rock,” and “Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam.” Musically known as Ro•Shon he recently released his first self-produced EP “I Am Ro•Shon,” which contains two new tracks written and produced by Ro•Shon himself, "Got Me Like" and "Top Of The World'' that fuses a unique universal sound of Hip-Hop, R&B, Pop, Funk and Electronic Dance music all into one. He writes and produces all of his own music under his independently owned record label, 3inaRo Entertainment, where he serves as CEO.



Backstage Pass is a career exploration program that gives students a first-hand look at what it takes to get a job in the music industry. Each Backstage Pass program consists of a question and answer session with a guest artist as well as a private performance of two to three songs. The students are also given a tour of the GRAMMY Museum, where they are able to learn about the history of music as well as the process of producing a GRAMMY Award winning song or album. Invited students are generally from the downtown Los Angeles area and have an interest in pursuing music as a career Taking place in the Museum’s state-of-the-art Clive Davis Theater, which screens exhibit-related films during regular Museum hours, the program provides guests unprecedented access to their favorite musicians.



The GRAMMY Museum is located at 800 West Olympic Boulevard, Suite A245, Los Angeles, CA 90015. With an entrance off of Figueroa Street, the Museum resides within the L.A. LIVE campus, at the intersection of Olympic Boulevard and Figueroa Street in downtown Los Angeles.
