The “Segovia of Surf” was the last member of the fabulous “Takoma 7”, which included his label mates the late John Fahey and Leo Kottke. Toulouse will be performing his signature material that has elevated him to “cult status” in the guitar fandom world. To quote the artist: “I’m quite humbled to be considered a legendary hero of fingerstyle guitar, but I have to be honest with you folks ...…It doesn’t always pay the bills!”

12-string guitar! That brings up thoughts of 70's sessions with the Chaos Band. It's a good bet that when Adam picks up the "Twelve" he'll probably be responding to my request for "Stuck in the Middle". He starts in on the acoustic, Teresa picks up the bass line, and Evie chimes in on the electric. About halfway through the song, Evie takes the guitar break and really goes to town with some gorgeous blues licks. (sometimes Adam will say, "Hit it, Evie!"). The big axe also figures in "The Big Bear", and that's the song where one night Adam had me hold down two keys on the keyboard. Afterward I commented that it was like the "drones" on a bagpipe, and he said, "You got it."
It's amazing how one photo can trigger memories!

One photo may trigger memories, but your words paint another cool capture of time. I would love to catch Adam on the 12-er sometime!
