Two Door Cinema Club to tour

Two Door Cinema Club announced today via Rolling Stone that they will make their triumphant return to North America on September 28th as they kick off their fall headline tour at Rumsey Playfield in Central Park, New York City. Two Door Cinema Club will play 22 dates across North America, including the Austin City Limits Festival, the Hollywood Palladium on October 25th and wrapping up at The Observatory in Santa Ana, CA on October 28th. Tickets will go on sale this Friday, July 20th at 10 AM PT for most shows. Two Door Cinema Club recently announced the release of their highly anticipated sophomore album, BEACON, which is set for release on September 4th, 2012. Following their headline slot on February’s NME Awards Tour, the band, Alex Trimble, Kevin Baird and Sam Halliday, travelled to Los Angeles, California to record the album with acclaimed producer Jacknife Lee (Bloc Party, U2, REM) in his home studios. The result is a bold statement of intent - an ambitious and heartfelt selection of tracks showcasing a stunning depth of songwriting and a broader, more mature sound.



In an exclusive story with Rolling Stone, Kevin Baird states, "We recorded our first album in London, and this time we just got to drive up PCH [Pacific Coast Highway] and drive by the sea, and it was lovely. We were so much more focused and so much more excited to be in there and doing it."
