K-EARTH 101 anniversary concert Oct. 21 at the Gibson

WHAT:                  K-EARTH 101 is celebrating forty years on Southern California’s airwaves with an anniversary concert event -  FANTASY FEST: THE CONCERT THAT NEVER WAS on Sunday, October 21st at the Gibson Amphitheatre on Universal CityWalk.  Wouldn’t it be cool to see some of the biggest artists in the world perform together on one stage in one night? Wish you could see the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Michael Jackson, The Doors, and Neil Diamond together in one show? K-earth 101 has put together that show by assembling some of biggest tribute bands in the world to pay homage to 40 years of the greatest hits on K-earth 101 including HARD DAY’S NIGHT as The Beatles, the ULTIMATE STONES as the Rolling Stones, WHO’S BAD as Michael Jackson, WILD CHILD as the Doors and SUPER DIAMOND as Neil Diamond and featuring special acoustic performances from Real Neil as Neil Young and Highway 61 revisited as Bob Dylan.
In celebration of K-earth 101’s 40th anniversary, Councilman Tom LaBonge will be on hand to declare “Sunday, October 21st as”K-earth 101 day in L.A.” and present the station with a resolution on behalf of the city of Los Angeles. On celebrating this historic milestone, Councilman LaBonge says: “In a city full of great institutions, K-Earth 101 has now taken its place among the stars."
K-EARTH 101’s legendary  on-air personalities  including the Morning Show with Gary Bryan, Jim Carson, Christina Kelley , “Shotgun Tom” Kelly, who will receive a star on the  Walk of Fame in 2013, and more will be on hand  all evening long to meet and greet with K-earth 101 listeners and celebrate this very special fortieth anniversary event.
