Star of stage, screen and 2012 SAG Life Achievement Award Recipient, Dick Van Dyke, is producing the musical,Cabaret along with Malibu Stage Company Artistic Director Richard Johnson.  The show is set to open November 2, 2012 for a five-week run.

I'm proud to be a part of this production. Cabaret is a great show and this is a perfect cast.” - Dick Van Dyke

A  long-time MSC member and supporter, this is Mr. Van Dyke's first foray into producing for The Malibu Stage Company, although he has performed there many times and is one of the founding members of the company.  He and his wife Arlene, along with the Vantastix, recently appeared in a benefit for the stage company at Pepperdine University's Smothers Theatre to a sold out house.

“As a member of the Malibu Stage Company Board, this is a glorious time for theater in Malibu. Cabaret promises to be a wonderful show, and we're delighted that Dick Van Dyke is producing.”-- Diane Namm, Award-winning writer, director and producer

The show stars Malibu's own Brent Moon in the role of the MC and is directed by well-known Hollywood director/casting director Jeff Passero. For Passero this has become a family affair with his daughter Lilly playing Sally Bowles and his wife Liz playing Frau Kost.
