Mighty Cash Cats cover six-plus decades of the music of "The Man In Black, " from his early hits in the 1950's to Cash's final Rick Rubin-produced "American Recordings" album in 1994 and include fun Johnny Cash and June Carter duets that audiences all know and love. The band have toured extensively in the U.S. and overseas in Israel, Europe and Ireland, in venues ranging from theaters and performing arts centers to concerts in the park, malls, and casinos. Last Summer they were featured on Germany's highly-rated Reality TV show "RTL Punkt 12." The band has recently shared the performing stage with American Music icons Kris Kristofferson and Merle Haggard. In addition to their world-renowned Tribute Show to Johnny Cash plus June Carter, the Mighty Cash Cats present a Tribute within the Tribute to "To the Women of Country Music and Rock n Roll."

A recent review of a Mighty Cash Cats show in national publication Music Connection Magazine stated: "Michael J Smith leads the performance playing a black acoustic guitar. It is impossible not to be drawn to the bass texture of his voice-and his physical and aural resemblance to Johnny Cash is practically eerie."
