Rock N' Roll Fantasy Camp in Vegas Nov. 7-11

Only one week after debuting at its new permanent home in Las Vegas, Rock ‘n’ Roll Fantasy Camp is pleased to announce the November camp lineup. Campers will “rock the blues” at a new, state-of-the-art facility alongside such legendary blues giants as 2012 GRAMMY® Lifetime Achievement Award recipient Warren Haynes of the Allman Brothers and Gov’t Mule, Jack Bruce of British rock trio Cream, and John Popper of Blues Traveler. Bruce’s participation coincides with the 45th Anniversary of Cream’s Disraeli Gears, an album that many feel had a tremendous impact in the evolution of rock ‘n’ roll.

Registration is now open for Rock ‘n’ Roll Fantasy Camp’s newest star-studded music experience, taking place November 7 – 11 at MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas as well as at its new facility located west of The Strip. This camp session invites blues lovers to follow the progression of the genre that started as a soulful play on the harmonica and slowly transformed into a mélange of a sound influenced by Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Doors and The Rolling Stones. As with every Rock ‘n’ Roll Fantasy Camp, this special assembly offers the rare chance to jam to any type of southern rock and blues music, pay homage to the classics and star in one’s own band.

With one-on-one help from more than 15 legendary rock stars, participants will get to spend three to five days rehearsing with their band, professionally record their own song in Rock ‘n’ Roll Fantasy Camp’s new studio and perform live at MGM Grand. In addition to jam sessions with blues legends Haynes, Bruce, and Popper and eye-opening daily master classes, participants also will benefit from face time with a rock star counselor who will lead their band’s performance and help them write and record an original song.

Rock star counselors participating in this thrilling camp include Teddy Andreadis (Guns N’ Roses), Rudy Sarzo (Quiet Riot and Ozzy Ozbourne), Hugh McDonald (Bon Jovi), Skunk Baxter (The Doobie Brothers) and Ty Dennis (The Doors), among others.

Campers will have the option of purchasing a three-day rock star package or a five-day headliner experience.  Both packages include hotel accommodations, breakfast and lunch daily, scheduled classes and daily jam sessions, an opening night cocktail reception and a DVD of the final concert performance. Blues Foundation and/or The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame members will receive a special discount when signing up for the Camp.

In addition to the camp’s exciting three and five day packages where campers will be able to perform nightly at MGM Grand, Rock ‘n’ Roll Fantasy Camp now offers the ultimate rock star program called “Rock Star For a Day. Visitors to Las Vegas can now participate in a two- to three-hour jam session with famous artists and musicians, performing songs from a set list, personal requests or original songs. Sessions will be held at the Rock ‘n’ Roll Fantasy Camp’s world-class headquarters with private rehearsal rooms outfitted with the best instruments and equipment. The personal jam session will be recorded, allowing campers to take home a live version of their experience. Transportation will be provided, as will a personal tour manager, expert technician and roadie, all insured to give everyone the full “Rock Star Experience.”
