Over the past few years Trainwreck Riders slowed their pace a bit after being flipped in their van mid tour by a hit and run drunk driver. After regaining their footing and focusing on their song writing, Trainwreck Riders have returned full throttle with "Ghost Yards." On this newest album the band effortlessly weaves their way through their own style of rock n' roll, which bares just as much country influence as it does punk rock. It is no doubt that Trainwreck Riders keep their feet in the city and their heads in the country.

Trainwreck Riders have been riding their own tracks for the past ten years now. They were born out of their native habitat of San Francisco, where rhythm guitarist/vocalist Pete Frauenfelder first crossed paths with drummer Steve Kerwin during slacked off high school hours. Becoming quick friends, Pete started leaving his bedroom songs on Steve's answering machine, leading Steve to play these messages to his older brother, lead guitarist/vocalist Andrew Kerwin, who was keeping musically busy himself playing heavily in the local punk/hardcore scene. In all due time Andrew properly met Pete in art class leading to after school hangouts, which then lead to after hangout jams. Steve quickly taught himself drums and the three started penning originals along side covers of some of their major influences, such as Meat Puppets, CCR, Neil Young, Dieselhed, and Minutemen.

With a rotating door of bass playing friends the band settled on their permanent fourth member, Shawn "Boof" Wyman. All members coming from a punk rock background the band started playing garages and DIY venues and releasing their own music, their proper debut being "Where The Neon Turns To Wood" in 2005. After many, self booked, coast to coast US tours the band had gained enough momentum to catch Alive Records' attention, who released the band's next two albums "Lonely Road Revival" (2006) and "The Perch" (2009).

Along with the band's regular tour schedule, Trainwreck Riders would adapt the attitude of anywhere and anytime and could be seen playing the local dives and Bart Stations with such friends as Two Gallants or more traditional venues along side their heroes Meat Puppets or even festivals with Built To Spill and Modest Mouse.
