Two solo concerts by Cecil Taylor that were to be co-presented by REDCAT and MOCA on October 24, 2012 and October 25, 2012 must be postponed indefinitely. The organizers hope it will be possible to reschedule the concerts in the near future, but no alternate date has been determined at this time.
Patrons who purchased tickets can receive a full refund by contacting the REDCAT box office at 213-237-2800. Patrons can also request that they receive advance notification via email when the concerts are rescheduled.
The performances were to be held in conjunction with the exhibition Blues for Smoke, a large-scale thematic project exploring ideas and forms of the Blues in contemporary art that opens at the Geffen Contemporary on Sunday, October 21, 2012.
