Trace Adkins comic book series reissued as graphic novel

The four-part comic book series, TRACE ADKINS IS LUKE MCBAIN, has been reissued as a graphic novel containing the original four installments of the comic first released in 2009. Additionally, the package contains unreleased extras such as a cover gallery, character designs, script pages and more. "TRACE ADKINS IS LUKE MCBAIN" is available in bookstores across North America and will be coming soon to all digital devices.

Writer David Tischman (“True Blood”) and 12 Gauge Comics’ publisher Keven Gardner developed the graphic novel with Adkins, taking inspiration for the central character from the tradition of revenge films like “Walking Tall” and “Billy Jack.” In the series, Luke McBain is the classic American hero - a straight shooter with integrity, incredible physical strength, a hatred for injustice and a sense of duty to serve those in need of help.

The story follows Luke McBain as he returns to his small Louisiana hometown after serving a 14-year sentence for a crime he didn’t commit.  Things have changed for the worse in the town, and it’s up to the 6’ 6” action hero to take a stand for what’s right.

The graphic novel is illustrated in full color by artist and Louisiana-native Kody Chamberlain (MTV’s “Punks”), with a cover from legendary “Batman” artist Brian Stelfreeze.  This collection also contains behind-the-scenes extras including character designs, script pages, and a cover gallery.  “Trace Adkins is Luke McBain”, the 112-page graphic novel, is on sale now with a suggested retail price of $14.99.
