Converse announces that it will bring its free live concert music series to Los Angeles with Converse Rubber Tracks Live, featuring a headlining set by soul singer Nick Waterhouse at The Satellite in Silverlake on Feb. 8th. The lineup also includes performances by Fools Gold, Blood Orange and Converse Rubber Tracks recording artist My Midnight Heart - who were personally selected by Waterhouse to perform.
Converse will give away 50 pairs of tickets on February 7th at its Santa Monica store at the Third Street Promenade from 1-4 PM as well as at The Satellite from 6-8 PM.
This free live concert series launched in 2012 and has its origins in Williamsburg, New York at Music Hall of Williamsburg where Converse Rubber Tracks Live has presented a series of free shows. Last summer Converse Rubber Tracks Live presented free shows from headlining artists White Rabbits and Action Bronson, and again in the fall/winter with Ghostface Killah, A-Trak, King Tuff and an upcoming show later this month with Vivian Girls. The lineup for all of these shows includes bands who have recorded at Converse Rubber Tracks, the community based recording studio in Brooklyn that allows artists to record for free.
