OLD PASADENA, CA:  One Colorado in Old Pasadena will host its annual Art & Design Open Market on Sunday, May 26, 2013 from 10:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.

This one-day free event showcases over 100 local artists whose artwork will fill the One Colorado central courtyard and its historical, tree-shaded pedestrian alleys.  One Colorado’s elegant environment makes the perfect backdrop for guests to discover new talent and support local artists. All participating artists are students or alumni from Pasadena’s leading cultural institutions: Art Center College of Design and Pasadena City College.

Art for sale includes one-of-a-kind photos, paintings, illustrations, ceramics and handmade apparel and jewelry. One hundred percent of the proceeds will go directly to the artists.

Live music will be provided byThe Lorenzo Grassi Trio and Maracas. 

Since its launch in 2003, Art & Design Open Market has provided visibility for nearly a thousand artists and has served as a destination for hundreds of art collectors and supporters. 




One Colorado is a collection of 17 historic buildings housing a curated mix of nationally acclaimed retailers and designers, unique local merchants, inventive restaurants and a boutique cinema.  A full city block located between Colorado, Union, Delacey and Fair Oaks, One Colorado is the retail centerpiece of Old Pasadena and favorite casual gathering place for the greater community, with public events hosted year-round in its central courtyard.

Parking: The One Colorado parking structure is accessible via Fair Oaks northbound between Colorado and Union; or from Union westbound between Raymond and Fair Oaks.

About Pasadena City College: The Visual Arts and Media Studies Division of Pasadena City College offers over one hundred courses in the areas of Studio Arts, Design, Digital Media, Art History, Photography, Filmmaking, Journalism and Theater Arts.  Over the past 23 years, the Division’s renowned Artist-in-Residence program has brought internationally prominent artists to the campus whose original artworks are part of the college’s permanent collection, including installations in the outdoor George Boone Sculpture Garden.
